Lotto Texas draws six numbers from 54 on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday. How the game works, its odds, and the draw time in the UAE and India.
Published 10 October 2026 · the numbers in this guide are read live from our archive.
The short answer. Lotto Texas is a six-from-54 jackpot game run by the Texas Lottery. Six numbers are drawn from 1 to 54 every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 10:12 PM Central time, and a line wins the jackpot by matching all six in any order. There is no bonus ball, so the result is just six numbers and nothing else.
| Game | You pick | Drawn | Draw time |
|---|---|---|---|
| Lotto Texas | 6 numbers from 1–54 | Monday, Wednesday and Saturday | 11:12 PM ET |
The format is about as plain as a jackpot lottery gets. You choose six different numbers between 1 and 54. On draw night six balls come out of a single set of 54. Nothing else is drawn: no Powerball, no Star Ball, no bonus number from the same pool. When you look up a result you are looking at six numbers, and that is the whole of it.
Order never matters. The balls come out of the machine in whatever sequence chance gives them, a results page may list them sorted from lowest to highest, and your ticket lists them in the order you chose. All three describe the same set of six, and only the set counts.

Most people arriving from Powerball or Mega Millions expect two kinds of ball. The big multi-state games pair a main draw with a smaller, separate pool, and that second pool is what pushes their odds into the hundreds of millions. Lotto Texas never added one. Its odds come from a single question: how many different groups of six can you make from 54 numbers?
Pick the first ball: 54 possibilities. The second: 53, because one is gone. Then 52, 51, 50 and 49. Multiplying those six together gives 18,595,558,800 ordered sequences. But order does not matter, and any group of six can be arranged in 6 × 5 × 4 × 3 × 2 × 1 = 720 different orders. Divide one by the other and you are left with 25,827,165 distinct groups of six. Exactly one of them is drawn.
Lotto Texas top-prize odds: there are 25,827,165 ways to choose 6 numbers from 1–54, so matching all of them with one line is 1 in 25,827,165. This is arithmetic on the game’s format, not a claim about any draw.
That figure is the same for every draw, forever, unless the Texas Lottery changes the size of the pool. It does not shrink because a jackpot has rolled for weeks and it does not grow after someone wins. The line is computed from the catalogue each time the page loads, so if the format ever changes, the number above changes with it.
This site follows four games that draw six numbers from a single pool. Putting them side by side shows how much a few extra numbers in the pool matter. Each row below is calculated from the game’s own format, not typed in.
| Game | Pool | Jackpot odds, one line |
|---|---|---|
| Lotto Texas | 6 from 54 | 1 in 25,827,165 |
| Florida Lotto | 6 from 53 | 1 in 22,957,480 |
| New York Lotto | 6 from 59 | 1 in 45,057,474 |
| Jackpot Triple Play | 6 from 46 | 1 in 9,366,819 |
The pattern is not linear. Going from 46 numbers to 54 adds only eight balls, yet it multiplies the number of possible lines by roughly 2.8. Every extra ball in the pool can partner with every combination that already existed, which is why pool size is the single most important fact about any lottery format — far more than the jackpot on the billboard.
Texas runs on Central time, one hour behind New York. The Texas Lottery draws at 10:12 PM Central, which is why our catalogue lists it as 11:12 PM Eastern — the same moment, written in the zone that most US results are quoted in. For anyone in the Gulf or South Asia, both of those are the middle of the night or early the next morning.
| Game | Local draw time | UAE (GST) | India (IST) | Pakistan (PKT) | UK |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Lotto Texas | 11:12 PM ET | 7:12 AM (next day) | 8:42 AM (next day) | 8:12 AM (next day) | 4:12 AM (next day) |
Converted for 9 October 2026. US clocks change in March and November, which moves every US draw by an hour against the Gulf and India; this table is recalculated every time the page loads.
The practical consequence is the date. A Saturday draw in Texas is a Sunday-morning result in Dubai, Mumbai or Karachi, and our archive files it under the Texas date, Saturday. If you are looking for “Sunday’s Lotto Texas” and cannot find it, that is why: there was no Sunday draw, only a Saturday draw that finished after you went to bed. The same logic applies to the Monday and Wednesday draws, which arrive on Tuesday and Thursday mornings on this side of the world.
Lotto Texas shares its three nights with Powerball and Lotto America, so a reader following all three has three results to look at on those mornings. For every US draw converted into Gulf and Indian time in one table, see our guide to US lottery draw times in India and the UAE.
The page also carries a live clock set to Texas time, so you can see at a glance whether tonight’s draw has happened yet. All Texas games we follow are gathered on the Texas lottery results page.
Three draws a week builds an archive quickly, and a long archive always looks as if it contains patterns. Some numbers will have come up more often than others; some will have gone weeks without appearing. None of that carries information about the next draw. The balls are mixed afresh each time, every one of the combinations counted above is equally likely on every night, and a number that has not appeared lately is not owed anything.
Our lucky numbers page publishes the frequency counts anyway, because people ask for them, and puts next to them a test of how that kind of analysis performs against random picks across hundreds of past draws. It performs the same. If you want the longer version of that argument, our piece on jackpot guessing numbers covers it.
Every draw below is recorded here after it is published, with a dated archive behind it.
