What Lottery Sambad actually is
Lottery Sambad is the name the results are published under; Dear Lottery is the
brand the tickets are sold under. The draws are run by state directorates —
the 1 PM and 8 PM draws by the Nagaland State Lottery in Kohima, the 6 PM draw by
the Sikkim State Lottery in Gangtok — and each one is a raffle. You do not
choose numbers. You hold a printed ticket with a series code and a five-digit
number, like 51C 83388, and the draw picks tickets.
The marketing name changes daily — Wish Sunday, Empire Sunday, Magic Sunday — which is why we file results by the time slot rather than by the name. The slot is the thing that stays the same.
How to check a ticket
- The first prize is an exact match of the whole ticket, series code included.
- The lower tiers are number matches, and the largest tier is a list of four-digit endings — a ticket wins if its last four digits appear in that list, whatever the series.
- Confirm on the official result sheet before acting. We are a results archive and our record is not a receipt.
Why you can trust these numbers
Every draw here is read from two separate documents — the published result page and the result sheet for that draw — and stored only when both carry the same first-prize ticket, character for character. If they disagree, or if one is missing, nothing is published. A missing result is recoverable; a wrong one is not, and somebody checking a ticket against it would have no way of knowing.
We are an independent archive. We do not sell tickets, we are not connected to any state lottery or distributor, and we cannot process a prize claim.
