Florida Pick 2 to Pick 5 draw two to five digits every evening at 9:45 PM ET. How the odds climb with each digit, what the Fireball is, and how to check.
Published 20 October 2026 · the numbers in this guide are read live from our archive.
The short answer. Florida runs four digit games — Pick 2, Pick 3, Pick 4 and Pick 5 — and draws them every evening at 9:45 PM ET. Each digit comes from 0 to 9, so repeats are normal. Every extra digit makes a straight win ten times harder, from 1 in 100 in Pick 2 to 1 in 100,000 in Pick 5. The Fireball is an optional extra, not part of the number.
They are one idea at four lengths. You choose a string of digits, two to five of them depending on the game, and the draw produces a string of the same length, each position drawn separately from all ten digits. The result is read like a combination lock, left to right.

Most recent Pick 2 Evening draw on record: 19 Oct 2026 — 9, 1.
Most recent Pick 3 Evening draw on record: 19 Oct 2026 — 0, 6, 9.
Most recent Pick 4 Evening draw on record: 19 Oct 2026 — 1, 4, 5, 5.
Most recent Pick 5 Evening draw on record: 19 Oct 2026 — 8, 0, 1, 9, 1.
Florida also holds a midday draw of each Pick game. This site records the evening draws, which is why every label here says Evening. If your ticket is for a midday draw, it must be checked against Florida’s midday result, not against anything on these pages.
Exactly ten times. Adding a position adds ten possibilities for every result that already existed, so the count of possible results multiplies by ten with each step. That is the whole difference between the four games, and the table puts numbers on it.
| Game | Digits | Possible results | Straight odds | Box on all-different digits |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Pick 2 Evening | 2 | 100 | 1 in 100 | 2 orders, 1 in 50 |
| Pick 3 Evening | 3 | 1,000 | 1 in 1,000 | 6 orders, 1 in 167 |
| Pick 4 Evening | 4 | 10,000 | 1 in 10,000 | 24 orders, 1 in 417 |
| Pick 5 Evening | 5 | 100,000 | 1 in 100,000 | 120 orders, 1 in 833 |
Pick 5 therefore has 1,000 times as many possible results as Pick 2. The last column shows the other side of the ladder: the more digits a game has, the more ways different digits can be rearranged, so a box covers many more orders in the longer games. Which play types Florida offers for each game, and what they pay, is set out in its own rules.
Our straight vs box guide works through three- and four-digit numbers in detail. The two ends of Florida’s ladder are worth doing here, because they behave differently.
Pick 2 is the simplest case. Two different digits, such as 3 and 8, can only be written two ways, 38 and 83, so a box covers two results. A double such as 44 has one order, so there is nothing to box. Ten of the 100 possible results are doubles.
Pick 5 is where the counting gets interesting, because five digits allow more kinds of repeat. Five different digits can be arranged 5 × 4 × 3 × 2 × 1 = 120 ways. Each repeated digit divides that by the number of ways its copies could be swapped among themselves: a pair divides by 2, a triple by 6, four of a kind by 24.
| Shape | Example | Orders | Results of this shape |
|---|---|---|---|
| Five different digits | 1-3-5-7-9 | 120 | 30,240 of 100,000 |
| One pair | 2-2-4-6-8 | 60 | 50,400 of 100,000 |
| Two pairs | 3-3-7-7-0 | 30 | 10,800 of 100,000 |
| Three of a kind | 5-5-5-1-6 | 20 | 7,200 of 100,000 |
| Three of a kind and a pair | 4-4-4-9-9 | 10 | 900 of 100,000 |
| Four of a kind | 8-8-8-8-2 | 5 | 450 of 100,000 |
| All five the same | 6-6-6-6-6 | 1 | 10 of 100,000 |
The right-hand column adds up to every possible Pick 5 result exactly once, which is a good check that the counting is right. It also shows something most people do not expect: a Pick 5 result with at least one repeated digit is more common than one without. Only 30,240 of the 100,000 possible results use five different digits. A repeat in tonight’s Pick 5 is the usual case, not a curiosity.
Florida draws an extra single digit with its Pick games, called the Fireball. It only matters for tickets that bought the Fireball option, where it can stand in for one of the drawn digits to make additional winning combinations. If your ticket did not include it, ignore it completely. Its exact rules and prizes are the Florida Lottery’s to set, so read them there.
All four evening games draw at 9:45 PM ET, but each has its own draw. When the Pick 3 result appears inside the Pick 4 result, or two games share a digit, that is chance. With ten digits and fourteen positions between them, shared digits happen almost every night.
Before comparing digits, count them. A four-digit ticket checked against the Pick 3 or Pick 5 result is the most basic mistake with these games, and it happens because they all appear at the same time.

Converted for 20 October 2026. US clocks change in March and November, which moves every US draw by an hour against the Gulf and India; this table is recalculated every time the page loads.
A 9:45 PM Eastern draw is an early-morning result across the Gulf and South Asia, dated the day before in Florida. All four arrive together, and the Florida results page lists them side by side with the state’s other games.
The Pick draws are also the first of Florida’s late results each night. The evening Fantasy 5 draw follows at 11:15 PM ET, so if you follow both, the Pick numbers will already be waiting when the Fantasy 5 result is still to come. Because the United States moves its clocks in March and November and the Gulf does not, the local times in the table shift by an hour twice a year; it is recalculated every time the page loads, so it is always the one to trust over memory.
Every one of these draws is independent. Digits do not run hot or fall due, and the frequency counts on our lucky numbers page are published next to a test showing that choosing from them does no better than chance. For Florida’s ball games, see the Florida Fantasy 5 guide.
