Florida Fantasy 5 draws five numbers from 36 at midday and again late evening. The format, the real odds of every match, and when each draw lands abroad.
Published 17 October 2026 · the numbers in this guide are read live from our archive.
The short answer. Florida Fantasy 5 draws five numbers from 1 to 36, twice a day: once at 1:05 PM and again at 11:15 PM Eastern. There is no bonus ball, order does not matter, and the two daily draws are completely separate. Matching all five with one line is a 1 in 376,992 chance, which is short by lottery standards and still very long.
The format is about as plain as a lottery gets. Five balls are drawn from a set numbered 1 to 36, without replacement, so no number can appear twice in the same result. You choose five numbers; the order you write them in and the order the balls come out in are both irrelevant. What counts is how many of your five are among the five drawn.
| Game | You pick | Drawn | Draw time |
|---|---|---|---|
| Fantasy 5 Midday | 5 numbers from 1–36 | Daily | 1:05 PM ET |
| Fantasy 5 Evening | 5 numbers from 1–36 | Daily | 11:15 PM ET |
Florida lists the two draws as one game at two times, and this site keeps them as two separate archives, because a midday result and an evening result have nothing in common but the name. The reasons we split them are set out in the midday and evening draws guide, so they are not repeated here.
Most recent Fantasy 5 Midday draw on record: 16 Oct 2026 — 4, 13, 25, 30, 34.
Most recent Fantasy 5 Evening draw on record: 16 Oct 2026 — 9, 14, 26, 28, 31.
The top-prize figure is a single count: how many different sets of five can be drawn from 36.
Fantasy 5 Evening top-prize odds: there are 376,992 ways to choose 5 numbers from 1–36, so matching all of them with one line is 1 in 376,992. This is arithmetic on the game’s format, not a claim about any draw.
The smaller matches are counted the same way, and the method is worth seeing once because it applies to every five-ball game. To match exactly three, three of your numbers must be among the five drawn and your other two must be among the 31 that were not. Count the ways of choosing each part, multiply them, and divide the total number of possible draws by the result.
| Your numbers matched | Draws that give exactly this | Chance per line |
|---|---|---|
| 5 of 5 | 1 | 1 in 376,992 |
| 4 of 5 | 155 | 1 in 2,432 |
| 3 of 5 | 4,650 | 1 in 81 |
| 2 of 5 | 44,950 | 1 in 8 |
Computed from the game’s format each time the page loads. Which of these matches pays a prize, and how much, is set by the Florida Lottery.
Two things stand out in that table. Matching two numbers is common, roughly once in every 8 lines, which is why a Fantasy 5 ticket so often shows a couple of hits. And each step up is a large jump: four matches is about 30 times rarer than three, and all five is rarer again by a factor of 155.
Of the 26 ball-drawn games we publish, including the Emirates draws, Fantasy 5 has the shortest top-prize odds. That is simply a consequence of drawing only five numbers from a pool of 36 with no second ball to match. It says nothing about any particular draw.
The two draws land at very different times of day for readers in the Gulf and South Asia. The table converts both for today’s date, so it is right on either side of the US clock change.
| Game | Local draw time | UAE (GST) | India (IST) | Pakistan (PKT) | UK |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Fantasy 5 Midday | 1:05 PM ET | 9:05 PM | 10:35 PM | 10:05 PM | 6:05 PM |
| Fantasy 5 Evening | 11:15 PM ET | 7:15 AM (next day) | 8:45 AM (next day) | 8:15 AM (next day) | 4:15 AM (next day) |
Converted for 17 October 2026. US clocks change in March and November, which moves every US draw by an hour against the Gulf and India; this table is recalculated every time the page loads.
In practice the midday draw is an evening result in Dubai and a late-night one in India, while the evening draw belongs to the next morning. The evening draw also shares its 11:15 PM ET slot with Florida Lotto and Jackpot Triple Play, so on the nights those games draw, several Florida results arrive together the following morning. If you follow more than one Florida game, the Florida results page lists them all with a live Eastern clock.
Readers who follow both draws notice that the evening result regularly repeats a number from lunchtime, and some take it as a sign the draws are linked. They are not; the overlap is what the arithmetic predicts. For the evening draw to share nothing with the midday one, all five of its numbers must come from the 31 that were not drawn at midday. That happens in 169,911 of the 376,992 possible draws, about 45% of the time. So on roughly 55% of days the two results will have at least one number in common, by chance alone. A day where they match completely is the same 1 in 376,992 as any single line winning the top prize.
The fourth step catches more people than it should. Three matches on one line and two on another is two separate results, not one line with five.
California also runs a game called Fantasy 5. It uses a bigger pool, draws once a day, and is operated by a different state lottery. A Florida ticket checked against a California result, or the other way round, will give a wrong answer either way. Our Florida pages are always labelled Florida.
Fantasy 5 draws numbered balls and does not put them back, so a result can never contain the same number twice. That is the opposite of Florida’s Pick games, where each digit is drawn fresh and a repeat is normal. If you ever see a Fantasy 5 line with a duplicate, it is a typing error on somebody’s part, not a result.
Following both doubles the number of results you see, not the chance attached to any one ticket. The midday draw does not warm up the evening one, and a number drawn at lunchtime is exactly as likely as any other that night. Our lucky numbers page keeps separate frequency counts for the two draws and shows, next to them, that choosing from those counts performed no better than random picks when tested. For how Fantasy 5 fits alongside Florida’s jackpot and digit games, see the Florida lottery games guide.
