FAST 5 draws five numbers from 1 to 42 every Thursday at 9 PM GST. How the smallest Emirates game compares with the others, and how to check a result.
Published 3 October 2026 · the numbers in this guide are read live from our archive.
The short answer. FAST 5 is the Thursday Emirates Draw game: five different numbers are drawn from 1 to 42 at 9:00 PM GST (10:30 PM in India). It opens the four-night Emirates week and has the fewest possible combinations of the four games. To check a result, count how many of your five numbers are in the drawn five; the order does not matter.
| Game | You pick | Drawn | Draw time |
|---|---|---|---|
| FAST 5 | 5 numbers from 1–42 | Thursday | 9:00 PM GST |
A FAST 5 line is five different numbers between 1 and 42. On Thursday night five balls are drawn from the same range, and a line is judged purely on how many of its five appear among them. The order the balls fall in makes no difference, and no number can come up twice in one draw.
FAST 5 top-prize odds: there are 850,668 ways to choose 5 numbers from 1–42, so matching all of them with one line is 1 in 850,668. This is arithmetic on the game’s format, not a claim about any draw.
Partial matches pay as well as the full five; which match counts pay, and how much, is set by the operator, and our prize tiers page describes how tiers work in general. We do not publish prize values in guides like this one.
Most recent FAST 5 draw on record: 1 Oct 2026 — 1, 6, 9, 10, 27.
The four Emirates games draw on four nights in a row, and FAST 5 goes first. That has a few practical consequences for anyone checking results.
On a Thursday, FAST 5 is the only Emirates game with a new result. Someone searching “emirates draw result today live” on a Thursday evening wants FAST 5, and the other three games will still be showing the previous weekend’s numbers. That is normal: EASY 6 follows on Friday, WILD 5 on Saturday and MEGA 7 on Sunday. From Monday to Wednesday there is no Emirates draw at all, so the most recent FAST 5 result stays on its page for a full week before the next one replaces it.
If you have seen FAST 5 listed on a different night on an older page somewhere, go by the dates. Every result on our FAST 5 results page and in the FAST 5 archive is printed with its date, and the recent ones fall on Thursdays. Where the operator’s draw number for a result is known, the draw’s own page shows it beside the game name, which is a second way to be sure you are looking at the right week.
9:00 PM on Thursday in the UAE is 10:30 PM in India and 10:00 PM in Pakistan, both still Thursday. In the Philippines it is 1:00 AM on Friday, but the result is filed under Thursday’s date. The draw times by country guide has every zone.
Because each game has its own night, a result on Thursday can only be FAST 5. That is a quick sanity check if a screenshot or a forwarded message claims to show “tonight’s EASY 6” on a Thursday.
“Smaller” here means one thing: fewer possible results. It says nothing about prizes, which are the operator’s business. The table below works out, from each game’s format, how many different sets of numbers a draw could produce, and how that compares with FAST 5.
| Game | Format | Possible results | Compared with FAST 5 |
|---|---|---|---|
| FAST 5 | 5 from 1–42 | 850,668 | — |
| EASY 6 | 6 from 1–39 | 3,262,623 | 3.8 times as many |
| WILD 5 | 5 from 1–49 | 1,906,884 | 2.2 times as many |
| MEGA 7 | 7 from 1–37 | 10,295,472 | 12.1 times as many |
Two different forces are at work in that table, and FAST 5 is the game that shows both of them most clearly.
Against WILD 5, the number of picks is the same: five. The only difference is the pool, 42 against 49, and seven extra numbers to choose from are enough to give WILD 5 2.2 times as many possible results. When the pick count is fixed, pool size decides everything.
Against EASY 6 and MEGA 7 the picture changes. Both of those games draw from a smaller pool than FAST 5, 39 and 37 numbers against 42, yet both have far more possible results, because they ask for a sixth and a seventh match. Each extra ball you must match multiplies the count, and that outweighs a slightly shorter range. The MEGA 7 guide walks through that multiplication step by step.
Put simply: FAST 5 is the smallest of the four because it asks for the fewest matches from a middle-sized pool. That makes a full match less rare than in the other three games, and still very rare in absolute terms.
The winner count for the draw, if it has been published, appears on the same card. It often arrives after the numbers, and a dash means it has not been published yet, not that nobody won.
The archive is a record, and a good one for settling questions: which numbers came up on a given Thursday, whether a line you entered weeks ago matched, how a run of draws looked. Each Thursday has its own page with a few facts about the combination, such as its sum, the odd and even split, and how many numbers fell in the low half of the range (1–21) against the high half (22–42).
With only five balls a week, those facts swing a lot from one Thursday to the next, and a short run of draws can look lopsided purely by chance: four high numbers one week, four low the next. That is what randomness looks like at small sizes, not a trend. The frequency counts on the results page and on our lucky numbers page are there for interest, alongside an honest test showing that scoring numbers from past draws does no better than picking at random.
